After 21 years in Durham, Thrifty is expanding into a new location just inside the Raleigh border. We’ve outgrown our current facility in Durham, as well as our warehouse facility on Angier avenue, next door to the Durham branch of the Food Bank CENC. So we’ll be consolidating our warehouse and showroom into one new location just east of Brier Creek in Raleigh. And even though we’re sad to leave our Durham roots, we are excited about what this move to Raleigh will mean for us and our customers! Here are some of the benefits we’re looking forward to:

• Having our warehouse attached to our showroom means quick answers to your questions about quantities, and available colors and sizes of in-stock items.
• We’ll have a brand new showroom setup featuring HON and some new manufacturers we now carry like LifeSpan Fitness workplace solutions.
• We’ll still have a separate section featuring our current used furniture items, plus a whole warehouse-full if you’re interested!
• Easier access to major highways means it will be easier for our customers to find us and see our new showroom!
• We’ll have the space in our new showroom to host events like Lunch & Learns, Product Showcases, and meet-ups!

So since we’ll be moving later this year, we’re starting now with our moving sale! We are hoping to sell a large portion of our used furniture inventory as well as many of our showroom floor pieces – so we’ll be offering deep discounts on all our furniture for the next few months!
