Spring 2015 Food Drive!

We’re excited to announce our upcoming Food Drive to benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC!

Our goal is to collect 500 pounds of food to donate to the Durham branch of the Food Bank CENC following this harsh winter – and you can help! Join us at our Grand Opening celebration and bring some food items for extra raffle tickets! Each food item/can will get you one extra raffle ticket for our great list of door prizes!

We’re also throwing a little friendly competition into the mix – our Sales, Admin and Delivery teams will be competing to see who can donate the most food before the end of our drive in June. So choose carefully which box you add your items to! (I’m on the admin team, by the way.) We’ll continue to post our progress via social media, and keep your eyes peeled for our blog post in June with our results!

If you ever want to start a food drive at your company, it’s fun, easy, and great for building company morale. Not to mention the countless lives it helps for the food insecure folks right here in the Triangle. Check out foodbankcenc.org and talk to your team about starting a food drive today!

Jennifer has over 5 years of experience in the marketing industry - all of it spent in the Triangle area. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2008 with a degree in Psychology and began working at a local marketing agency as the Office Administrator. She moved her way up in the company, eventually becoming the Director of Project Management. But marketing is her true passion, so she gladly took the opportunity to join the Thrifty team as Marketing Manager. Jenn enjoys photography as a hobby and is working on getting a website of her photos together to share with the world. She also spends most of her time chasing around her two Scottie puppies, Angus and Duncan.
